The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Graduation Dinner 2019

Dear Graduates of 2018/2019,

You are invited to this years Graduation Dinner held at the Four Points by Sheraton Winnipeg South (2935 Pembina Hwy). Come join us for an evening of celebration of completing your degree with your family, friends, and classmates.

On this evening, you will get to experience a delicious 3-course Prime Rib dinner with complimentary wine, hear from our esteemed Guest Speaker Kim McConnell, presentation of many awards, and a dance to follow. Cocktails will begin at 5:30 pm, with supper served at 6:15 pm.

Each graduate has the opportunity to invite up to 4 other guests to share in this experience, family and friends (or whoever you would like to attend) are welcome.

About Kim McConnell (C.M.)

A University of Manitoba Alumnus from our very own Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Kim McConnell has led a distinguished career in the Agriculture industry. In 1984, Mr. McConnell began his business, AdFarm, a prominent agricultural marketing communications firm that has helped develop countless brands in North America. Some examples of companies that AdFarm has worked assignments for is Farm Credit Canada, Bayer CropScience, and RBC Royal Bank.

As CEO of AdFarm, Kim McConnell has led the company to many awards, including being recognized 3 times as one of “Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies”. Mr. McConnell has also been awarded ‘Agri-Marketer of the Year’, and was inducted into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame.

Most recently, Mr. McConnell was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada, the nation’s highest civilian honour.

Kim remains a strong advocate for agriculture and the food industry in Canada, and continues to dedicate his time mentoring young individuals that will be entering the industry.
