Monday - January 6
Hen and Cock Kickoff Social
Start Hoedown week right by coming out to the World-Famous Palomino Club on January 6th for the Hen and Cock Kickoff Social! Your ticket includes free cover to the event, and a bus ride from the Fort Richmond Sobeys on Pembina to the Palomino Club and back. Cheap drinks available at the bar, along with a Booty-Shake Contest for a cash prize!
$10 per ticket, wristbands will be available in the atrium the day of, must be picked up and paid for before boarding the bus

Tuesday - January 7
Aggies vs Engineers Hockey Game
Down at the Silverstone Arena on January 7 will be the annual Aggies vs Engineers Hockey Game! Make sure to sign up to play or come cheer the Aggies on as we show them who’s the best at hockey!
Free to play, game goes from 1:00-2:30. Be sure to arrive at 12:30 if you are interested in playing! You will need to bring your own hockey equipment.
Sign-up is 25 players but will include a 10-person waitlist. First-come, first-serve.
Rumors Comedy Club Grad Fundraiser
If you like a good laugh, come on down to the Rumors Comedy Club to watch Lars Callieou on January 7th! A portion of the ticket sales go to this year’s graduation dinner, so come out and support your grads!
$15 per ticket, tickets will be reserved for pickup and payment in the Atrium on Monday and Tuesday during Hoedown Week. Event begins at 7:45 pm. Doors open at 6:30

Wednesday - January 8
Redneck Olympics
Do you have what it takes to be the ultimate Redneck? Show what you’re worth in the official U of M Aggies Redneck Olympics! Compete across 5 different events of varying skill, alcohol content, and goofyness to prove you’re the best Redneck and win some cool prizes! The Olympics take place on January 8 from 12 to 4 pm.
Did we mention the food and drink specials? During the Redneck Olympics you can get half order poutines for $4, Nachos and Wings for $10, Club Beer (the official Aggie beer) for $4 and Jägermeister shots for $3.50!
Free to compete!
The teams must each have 3 players! We do have a limited number of teams, so sign up quickly!
There will be a sign up sheet posted in the atrium as well as online on our website.
Thursday - January 9
Chili Smackdown 2020
Are you ready to bring the heat at the 2019 Chili Smackdown? Enter in your best chili to be judged for your chance to win the Chili Smackdown 2019 Championship Belt! If you’re only a fan of eating chili or your stove is broken, be sure to come by and try out the participants’ chili, with all proceeds going to charity!
Free to enter!
Limit of 10 entries. Deadline is noon, January 8.
Aggie Ball Hockey Tournament
Do you know how to shoot a ball into a net? Great, you’re overqualified! Sign-up a team with your friends to play in the 2nd Annual Aggie Ball Hockey Tournament! Experience some fast-paced action as a competitor or spectator and stick around for food and refreshments after! The winning team will get to hoist the coveted Aggie Ball Hockey Cup and win some sweet prizes!
$25 per team of 5 players, sticks and balls provided, need to provide goalie equipment.
Must pay for your team in the Atrium from Monday-Thursday
Limit of 8 teams, along with a 2-team waitlist
Friday - January 10
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the event you’ve been waiting for all week, the Eat Yer Hat social! As the name implies, you’ll get a chance to take a bite out of other people’s straw hats (provided for free) while enjoying some great music and drinks ($3 each) throughout the night! As the biggest social on campus, make sure to line up early for tickets because this event always sells out! The social starts at 9 pm at the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) in University Centre, tickets go on sale January 6th and the rest of the week in the Agriculture Building Atrium!
Saturday - January 11
Pubcrawl
No better way to end off Hoedown week than with a Pubcrawl right? Our Hoedown coordinators have carefully selected 6 bars to drink at this year, prepare yourself for a full day of fun! With your ticket you’ll get breakfast, supper, transportation between bars, and an awesome Pubcrawl T-shirt!
$30 per person
Must pay in the Atrium prior to event.
